Fund Objective
The government established this fund in 2018 to promote the application of technology in the elderly care and rehabilitation services sector, and will inject an additional HK$1 billion in 2024-25 to expand the scope of support.
Improving quality of life:To improve the quality of life for the elderly and people with disabilities through technological products.
Reduce nursing stress:Use technology to reduce the burden and stress on caregivers and nurses.
Supporting home-based aging:Expanding applications to include senior-friendly technology products suitable for home use, supporting aging at home.
Eligible Applicant Types
Application periodApril 13, 2026 to 5 PM on July 13, 2026
Qualified institutions:
This round of applications is only open to non-governmental and private organizations that are currently receiving funding from the Social Welfare Department and will still be providing the following services by the application deadline (July 13, 2026):
- Subsidized residential care services for the elderly or disabled
- Community care and support services for the elderly
- Day rehabilitation and community support services for people with disabilities
Notice:Although the scope of funding has been expanded to include non-funded private care homes starting with the 8th batch, the 13th batch is only open to the aforementioned funded institutions.
Application Method
Reading Guide :Download and carefully read the corresponding "Form Filling Guide".
Get a quote :Obtain the required number of quotations based on the maximum amount requested (e.g., 5 quotations are required for amounts between 50,000 and 1,360,000 yuan).
Submit an application :Use the online form (recommended) or complete a Word document and submit it to the fund secretariat before the deadline.
